Repair of asphalt composition roofing
Asphalt composition roofs do not lend themselves to being repaired like wood shakes because of the fact that inevitable exposure to the heat of the sun makes them somewhat monolithic. While this may be a characteristic that keeps them water tight, it also makes it more difficult to do repairs on these roofs. When leaks occur on composition roofs due to age, this is usually a sign that the roof needs replacement. In the case of old roofs or if the leaks occur due to original faulty craftsmanship, we can usually repair these problems by waterproofing and installing similar materials.
